Union Square's location at the crossroads of downtown and Midtown makes it one of the more accessible happy hour destinations in the city. Cocktail bars, wine spots, and gastropubs line the avenues around the park, with weekday specials aimed at the office crowd. The neighborhood gets lively fast after 5PM, so arriving early helps. You'll find a solid range of options from low-key pubs to more polished spots.
